To be an outstanding judge requires many skills. A judge must be hard working and prepared. A judge should never forget what it is like to stand in the shoes of those on the other side of the bench. A judge must know and understand the law, rules of procedure and evidence. A judge must be efficient, decisive and timely. And above all, a judge must be fair, impartial and consistent.

In 2008, I am celebrating the privilege of practicing law in Texas for the last 25 years. Now, with your help, I want to put my extensive experience, knowledge and wisdom to work for the citizens of Harris County and those who seek justice in its courtrooms.

I am running for the Democratic nomination to the 125th Civil District Court because I have the qualifications, experience -- both legal and management -- and reputation to be an outstanding judge for all.
